SPEAKING

Choose Your Event:

LOOKING FOR A DOWN TO EARTH & ENGAGING SPEAKER or MC?

LET'S CHAT.

I’m passionate about speaking to audiences of adults and adolescents who want to create a life of purpose. They want to deeply believe in themselves, be led by love not fear and discover who they truly are.  I help my audiences understand how trauma may have impacted their life and the ripples it can create, how to navigate those ripples to live a fulfilling life and ultimately discover they are not defined (or need to be held back) by their past.

I believe in speaking about the *real* side of life and embracing all aspects of our human experience. This creates space for people to feel deeply seen and know they aren’t alone in what they’re experiencing. As a trauma expert, I know what’s required to hold trauma informed spaces and use my lived and professional experience to create an empathetic, grounded place for my audience to land. â€‹â€‹

I’m very much a 'what you see is what you get' person. I keep it real and honest while adding a sprinkle of humour along the way. I am open about talking about my own trauma and subsequent personal triumphs to help inspire others. It's been a long journey and I certainly haven't done it alone. Having used different self-development and mindfulness techniques and strategies, along with professional assistance, I support others to see that anything is possible for them too.

I'm a speaker for those who want to listen to a real person and see the rawness that comes with great difficulties but also feel empowered and know we can all be so much more than what we may limitingly believe about ourselves or have experienced.

I offer powerful keynote presentations and host seminars, workshops and MC events. I also love collaborating and being part of panels and group presentations.

MY EXPERIENCE

Over the past 15 years I have worked in the trauma space. First as a police officer, then as an Investigation & Risk Assessment Specialist for Monash University, now as a Trauma Transformation Coach. My view is one of potential that offers 4 different perspectives: personal experience, the perspective from a police officer, a victim centric view and supporting people who have moved through trauma and want to change their life.

I have spoken and presented at: Beautiful You Coaching Academy’s International Inspiration Day in Bali, Monash University on different trauma topics, Melbourne Girls College, ADF Careers and numerous online workshops.

This is the work I live and breathe and it means so much to me to create spaces where we can talk about these topics without being judged, ridiculed or shamed.

MY FAVORITE TOPICS INCLUDE

"POST TRAUMA TRANSFORMATION"

Trauma doesn’t just impact someone for one moment. Whenever we experience trauma it can  ripple into every area of our life in some way. This then shapes who we become post-trauma.

Learn how to transform your life or understand what’s happening to those you love by understanding how to unravel the ripples of trauma, building strength and resilience as you do.

It’s not about forgetting, it’s about accepting.

This presentation invites people to explore how trauma weaves into their story - and, crucially, how to begin unravelling those ripples with compassion and clarity. You’ll learn practical ways to build strength, resilience, and empowerment as well as how to cultivate greater self awareness, manage emotional triggers and develop healthy boundaries that protect your well-being - supporting you to navigate life’s challenges with more confidence and inner peace, no matter what you’ve faced in the past.

This topic can be tailored to include/cover:
★ How to move past trauma to not have it define who you are
★ Turning the lowest point of your life into your biggest strength
★ Anything related to: sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, bullying, depression, isolation and suicide/suicidality.

“SUPPORTING THE SUPPORTERS”

There’s so much support available for people navigating trauma, addiction, and recovery - but what about the people who stand beside and support them? The friends, family, colleagues, and caregivers who often bear the unseen and significant weight of providing that support?

If you haven’t lived through these experiences, it’s understandably challenging to know how to truly help without unintentionally causing harm or doing people  a disservice. In fact, the instinct to ‘support’ or ‘fix’ can sometimes enable dependency, having everyone stuck in patterns that don’t promote true healing.

These presentations are created from a trauma informed lens to help educate people  on the physiological and emotional responses that trauma causes in both the brain and the body. It also shifts any held focus from enabling to a true sense of empowerment to offer support that activates strength, resilience and real autonomy for those you care about.

I’ll guide you through the shift from ‘fixing’ to fostering real healing and empowerment, creating lasting change and supporting you to form a healthier relationship with yourself as a supporter.

True support is about standing alongside those struggling post trauma with respect, love, belief and the tools to help each person heal and thrive. These talks will equip you to be that vital, empowering presence.

“ORGANISATIONAL SUPPORT”

Learn how to fully support your staff in a trauma informed way so the culture of your organisation is inclusive and accepting. Small shifts in perspective and process can see your business thrive.

When employees feel truly seen, accepted and valued - especially those carrying the invisible weight of trauma - it can transform the overall culture, feel and productivity of your organisation.

By embedding trauma-informed awareness and principles into your organisation, you’ll:

  • Create a thriving organisational culture

  • Build trust within your teams

  • Ensure psychosocial hazards are met

Small changes in how you relate and operate can ripple out in the most incredible ways, benefitting your people, your bottom line and the broader organisational culture.

"Jaci delivered three outstanding sessions. Our resident advisors were fully involved in her sessions when she conducted three workshops Building Resilience / Difficult Conversations / Time and Energy Management with Monash University. They were engaged, asked lots of questions, and came away with practical tools that they can use right away from onset."

HIGH SCHOOL PRESENTATIONS

"UNDERSTANDING TRAUMA & BREAKING THROUGH THE STIGMA"

Duration: 1 hour presentation

Teenagers often don’t understand what trauma is. They know what is right and wrong and they know when something hurts or upsets them, but understanding the depth of trauma, what it is, the impact it has, and how it may ripple through their lives - is an entirely different thing.

A high percentage of your students have likely already experienced trauma or unknowingly contributed to someone else’s trauma.

I believe the best way to prevent further trauma is through education, story telling and relatability, c students up and into the conversation and making them feel a part of it in order to best support themselves, other students and the school community as a whole.
